Moody Bedroom Makeover
About This Project
This bedroom transformation began with dated wallpaper borders, mismatched wall colors, and builder-grade finishes that left the space feeling disconnected and uninspired.
My goal was to create a room that felt grounded, restful, and sophisticated while challenging the idea that dark interiors must feel cold or overwhelming. By wrapping the room in a rich, moody green and layering in warm wood tones, soft textiles, and ambient lighting, the space became both dramatic and inviting.
This project reflects a design philosophy I return to often: the most memorable spaces aren't always the safest ones. When color, texture, and contrast are used intentionally, even bold choices can feel timeless.
The best way to describe this room is uncomfortable
The colors and textures make me swoon
Before and After
Bland and Sad
Meaningful Artwork and a wicker basket to add texture, color, and warmth.
The fan before isn't bad, but its too traditional for the new space
This fan is still useful but the 3 blades update the whole look
