Cactus Ridge
About This Project
This home was a true passion project and the purpose was to give guests an immersive Southern Utah experience. As a native Utahn, the beauty of Southern Utah has always been special to me. When my family built this townhome, my number one goal was for guests to feel connected to Southern Utah from the moment they walked through the door and not just design a generic “home away from home.” I wanted to create a place that could only exist here.
As an interior designer, I spent months carefully designing and refining every detail. Inspired by the colors, textures, and natural beauty of the desert, I designed the home around a modern desert aesthetic: warm woods, natural materials, clean lines, and subtle nods to the landscape that make this region so special. Every furnishing, finish, and detail was chosen intentionally to create a space that feels both elevated and welcoming.
The way I approach Vacation Homes and Short Term Rentals (Airbnbs) is through the guest’s complete experience. Every decision, from the floor plan to the smallest finishing details, should support the way people actually live in and enjoy their homes.
Great design isn't about filling a space. It's about creating a whole vacation experience.
Living Room
This shot is my pride and joy. I love the mixture of leather, metal, and wood. The rug is washable, and the large cactus in the living room was just the cherry on top!
Photos were taken before the blinds and drapes were installed, but I made sure they were there before the first guest.
Guest Bedroom
Choosing the colors in this guest room was really exciting. I went with natural wood tones, burnt orange, sage green, and a little bit of gold.
Installing a TV in each guest room where adults will be staying is an absolute must.
Master Bedroom
If you can fit a King bed, put in a king bed!
I loved this special living space that was part of the master bedroom.
Kitchen
A table setting for the maximum amount of guests is absolutely necessary
There is a special place in my heart for designing a fabulous coffee station.
